SEMH Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to support young people with SEMH needs and help them re-engage with education in a meaningful way.
We are urgently recruiting a SEMH Teaching Assistant for a supportive secondary setting in Greenwich that prioritises wellbeing, belonging, and confidence for learners who have experienced barriers to learning.
The school provides a structured, nurturing environment where students are supported to overcome challenges, build resilience, and develop positive attitudes towards learning. Staff work collaboratively to ensure every young person feels safe, valued, and able to succeed.

Key responsibilities:
• Supporting students with SEMH needs in and out of the classroom
• Assisting with learning activities and positive behaviour strategies
• Encouraging emotional regulation, resilience, and social development
• Building trusting relationships to support engagement and wellbeing
• Providing 1:1 and small group support tailored to individual needs
