Role: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Pay: £515 – £535 per week
About the School A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Kingston is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026. Main Responsibilities and Duties- Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Special Educational Needs, ensuring their individual learning and emotional needs are met
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to implement tailored support strategies and interventions
- Adapt learning materials and activities to suit the pupil’s needs and promote engagement
- Support the pupil’s social development and encourage positive behaviour in line with the school’s policies
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on the pupil’s development
- Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
About You- Previous experience supporting children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting learning and behaviour
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
- Relevant qualifications or training (e.g. Teaching Assistant qualification or SEN-related training) are desirable but not essential
