Horizon Teachers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
SEN Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Southwark, London. This is a rewarding role where you will provide tailored support to students with a range of additional needs, helping them to thrive both academically and personally.

About you- Previous experience working with young people, ideally within an SEN or education setting.
- A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting students with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, or SEMH (desirable but not essential).
- A genuine passion for inclusion and helping every student reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with special educational needs.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering inclusive and engaging lessons.
- Adapt learning materials to meet individual student needs.
- Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management.
- Help create a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals where required.
