Horizon Teachers are looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join an Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ Primary school in Lewisham, starting from October. This role involves supporting pupils across different year groups on a 1:1 and group basis, both in and out of the classroom.

What you’ll be doing

• Supporting children with SEND so they can access learning and feel confident at school.
• Providing personal care if needed (e.g. toileting and helping at mealtimes)
• Working closely with the class teacher to adapt activities and resources to suit individual needs.
• Encouraging independence, social skills, and self-esteem.
• Building trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

• Someone who is flexible and is happy to work across a range of year groups.
• A patient, empathetic, and reliable approach to both learning support and personal care.
• Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a close-knit team.
