About the Role: Horizon Teachers is seeking a passionate and dedicated
SEN Teacher to join a progressive and nurturing SEN school in Hertfordshire. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real impact by providing meaningful and structured learning experiences tailored to each pupilâ??s needs.
You will translate broad learning goals into clear, measurable steps ensuring that no skill or concept is overlooked. Youâ??ll deliver creative, cross-curricular lessons across
Key Stages 1 and 2, with a strong focus on
life skills and foundational learning.
Newly Qualified Teachers (ECTs) and experienced educators are equally encouraged to apply.
About the School:- Small class sizes (maximum of 10 pupils)
- Every class supported by experienced Teaching & Learning Support Assistants
- A nurturing, inclusive setting with a strong focus on individual pupil development

Key Responsibilities:- Deliver well-structured, engaging cross-curricular lessons
- Embed core academic and life skills into daily teaching
- Support pupilsâ?? social, emotional, and personal development
- Work closely with the SENCO to implement and review Individualised Learning Plans (ILPs)
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Foster a safe and supportive classroom culture
Requirements:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) â?? essential
- Proven experience teaching pupils in KS1 and/or KS2 â?? essential
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience supporting pupils with SEN and/or SEMH needs â?? highly desirable
- A team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills
