ASD Teacher – Autism Resource Base (Primary)

We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and inclusive primary school seeking a dedicated
ASD Teacher to join their Autism Resource Base.

The Role You will lead a class of pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder, delivering personalised learning that meets a wide range of needs. You’ll work closely with support staff, families, and external professionals to create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high-quality teaching tailored to pupils with ASD
- Plan and implement personalised programmes aligned with EHCPs
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and neurodiversity-affirming classroom
- Lead and support a team of teaching assistants
- Promote pupil wellbeing, emotional regulation, and engagement
- Support inclusion into mainstream settings where appropriate
- Contribute to EHCP reviews and multi-agency collaboration
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training
The Ideal Candidate- Strong knowledge and experience of autism and SEN strategies
- Experience working in a resource base or specialist setting
- A commitment to inclusive education for all learners
- A creative and reflective classroom practitioner
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, motivated, and proactive approach
