About the Role Horizon Teachers is working with a specialist secondary provision that supports students aged 11â??18 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The school is seeking a passionate and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team and make a meaningful impact on young peopleâ??s lives.
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, youâ??ll work closely with pupils who may display challenging behaviour or have additional needs such as ADHD or trauma-related difficulties. Your role will be to help students regulate emotions, build confidence, and re-engage with their learning in a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
This is a
full-time, Monday to Friday position, offering a potential earning of up to
£625 per week (approx.
£19.20 per hour). Youâ??ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that values patience, empathy, and commitment to positive change.
Ideal Candidates Will Have:- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH or behavioural needs
- A calm, consistent, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- A genuine desire to help students reach their full potential
