Horizon Teachers are working closely with a well-regarded and supportive secondary school in Enfield, North London, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic Science Teacher to join their department on a long-term basis, with the potential for extension or permanence.

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate and committed Science specialist who enjoys delivering engaging lessons and being part of a collaborative team.

The role offers a salary in line with the Outer London Pay Scale (M1–UPS3: £37,868–£56,154), depending on experience.

The school welcomes applications from teachers confident in delivering Science at Key Stages 3 and 4. Experience or interest in KS5 is an advantage but not essential, making this role suitable for both experienced teachers and confident ECTs.

The Role:
  • Teach engaging and well-structured Science lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Inspire curiosity and confidence through practical and theory-based learning
  • Work collaboratively within a supportive and well-organised Science Department
  • Maintain high expectations for behaviour, progress, and achievement
  • Contribute positively to an inclusive and respectful school culture

The School Is Looking For:
  • A qualified Science Teacher with QTS or a PGCE (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  • Experience teaching Science up to KS4 (KS5 desirable but not required)
  • Strong classroom management and a flexible, reflective approach to teaching
  • Confidence in planning, assessment, and tracking student progress
  • A genuine passion for Science and making a positive impact on young people
