Main Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons aligned with the primary curriculum.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment that supports all learners.
  • Support pupils’ development across academic, social and emotional domains, with a particular focus on early years learning.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies to monitor progress and inform teaching.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, SET teachers, SNAs and leadership to support pupil learning and wellbeing.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and communicate effectively regarding pupil progress.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives, planning and extracurricular activities where appropriate.
About You
  • A qualified primary teacher with recognised teaching qualification.
  • Experience or strong interest in early years / infant education.
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Committed to inclusive education and meeting the needs of all learners.
  • A collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reflective practitioner with a willingness to engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Knowledge of play-based learning, early literacy and numeracy approaches is highly desirable.
