Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and well-structured lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum
  • Support pupils in achieving strong outcomes, particularly in preparation for KS1 assessments
  • Use assessment effectively to monitor progress and inform future planning
  • Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with SEND and EAL
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and senior leaders
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers to support pupil development
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including events and enrichment opportunities
 
About You
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
  • Strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and assessment frameworks
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and high expectations for all pupils
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • A reflective practitioner who is committed to ongoing professional development
  • A team player who contributes positively to school life
