Are you passionate about working with young people with SEMH needs who require a fresh start in education and support to re-engage with learning?
We are seeking a dedicated Motor Vehicle Instructor to join a supportive SEMH specialist alternative provision in Enfield. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by using practical, hands-on learning to help learners rebuild confidence, structure, and positive future pathways.
This provision supports young people who have experienced barriers in mainstream education, offering a calm, structured, and highly supportive environment focused on behaviour support, personal development, engagement, and employability skills.
What you’ll be doing: • Delivering practical motor vehicle sessions in a workshop environment
• Supporting learners with SEMH needs to develop vocational skills and confidence
• Teaching safe working practices, basic maintenance, and repair skills
• Promoting positive behaviour, resilience, and engagement in learning
• Working closely with staff to support progress and reintegration pathways
What we’re looking for: • Strong motor vehicle knowledge and hands-on industry experience
• A calm, patient, and consistent approach to supporting SEMH learners
• Experience in mentoring, training, or education (desirable but not essential)
• A commitment to helping young people overcome barriers and succeed
