Horizon Teachers are seeking a dedicated Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee and ensure the safety and well-being of students during their lunch breaks.
You will be working within a Primary School based in Islington, that has great transport links across London. You will be responsible encouraging positive behaviour, assisting in lunch set up and monitoring playground duties.
The hours for this role are between 11am – 1pm, Monday – Friday. This is a great way to gain experience within a school setting, or if you are looking for a part-time role.
Lunchtime supervisor responsibilities:- Supervise students during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist in the setup and tidying of lunch areas as required.
- Provide support to students during mealtimes, including assistance with food and seating arrangements.
- Monitor playground activities, ensuring safe play and adherence to rules.
- The ability to work within specific routines and systems as directed (e.g. in the lunch hall).
A successful Lunchtime Supervisor should have:- A caring and attentive attitude towards working with children.
- A keen awareness of health and safety practices in a school environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and staff.
- The ability to manage and supervise groups of children with confidence.
