Part-Time School Kitchen Assistant – Southall 

  • Location: Southall, West London (Easily accessible via the Elizabeth Line and local bus routes)
  • Pay Rate: Up to £15 per hour (Depending on experience)
  • Hours: 5 days a week (Monday to Friday), maximum 2 hours per day
  • Contract: Part-Time, Term-Time Only (TTO)
  • Start Date: September Start

Key Duties:

  • Assist with basic food preparation under the direction of the Head Chef, ensuring ingredients are ready for service.
  • Set up the dining hall tables, counters, and cutlery stations swiftly before the lunchtime rush begins.
  • Serve healthy meals to pupils and staff efficiently, maintaining a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Operate commercial dishwashers and manually wash larger pots, pans, and kitchen utensils safely.
  • Clean down the kitchen area thoroughly after service, including wiping down surfaces, sweeping, and mopping floors.


What You Need:

  • Experience in a catering environment or a strong interest in food preparation and kitchen hygiene.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills with a fast, proactive approach to busy service times.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one through us).
