Key Roles & ResponsibilitiesAs a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) you will:
- Deliver learning activities and lead lessons, including class cover when teachers are absent, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
- Support planning and preparation of engaging teaching resources and activities under the direction of classroom teachers.
- Work with individuals and small groups to provide targeted interventions, adapting approaches to meet pupil needs.
- Monitor, assess and report on pupil progress, contributing constructive feedback to help pupils achieve their learning goals.
- Promote positive behaviour, helping to maintain a safe and inclusive classroom culture.
- Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider life of the school, including participating in staff meetings, training and school events.
About YouWe are looking for someone who:
- Holds HLTA status (or equivalent qualification) with experience in a primary school setting or is working towards gaining this.
- Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents alike.
- Is confident leading learning and classroom activities, including whole class sessions when required.
- Is adaptable, organised and proactive
- Flexible approach to working across different year groups and learning needs.
- Is committed to inclusion, understanding the importance of tailoring support to pupils with diverse needs and backgrounds.
- Values ongoing professional development, eager to learn and contribute to school improvement.
