A fantastic secondary school in Barnet is seeking an enthusiastic English Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent English graduate looking to gain hands-on experience within a supportive mainstream school environment.
The role will involve supporting students across English lessons and helping to raise attainment in reading, writing, and comprehension skills. You will work closely with teaching staff to support learning and help students reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities: • Supporting students in English lessons across KS3–KS4
• Delivering 1:1 and small group literacy interventions
• Assisting with reading and writing development
• Helping to improve student engagement and confidence
• Supporting classroom behaviour and learning activities
The ideal candidate will have: • A degree in English or related subject
• Strong literacy and communication skills
• A proactive and enthusiastic approach
• A genuine interest in education and teaching
