Horizon Teachers is actively seeking a graduate learning support assistant for a leading secondary school in Newham, East London. The ideal candidate will be open to working with students with a variety of SEN needs whether 1-1 or in small groups.

About the school
We are a part of a multi academy trust are going from strength to strength and are now looking to expand their team within the SEND department. They are committed to investing into the ongoing development of staff and to providing further opportunities within teaching.

The Role:

  • Support students needing extra care with their learning difficulties.
  • Work closely with teachers to help students complete tasks.
  • Adapt to different students and use different strategies
  • Work closely with SENCOs and specialists to ensure students receive the correct appropriate support.
  • Provide feedback to teachers to monitor student progress.
