About you
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for English and a commitment to helping students achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and challenging English lessons in line with the curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages a love of reading, writing, and critical thinking.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement.
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations and support them in reaching their academic goals.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom management.
- Contribute to the wider life of the department and school community.
