About the Role:A Cover Teacher (or Supply Teacher) steps in when a permanent member of teaching staff is unavailable. Youâ??ll be responsible for maintaining continuity in the classroom by delivering pre-prepared lessons, supporting studentsâ?? learning, and ensuring a positive and safe environment for all pupils.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver and adapt lesson plans provided by the class teacher to suit the needs of the group
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, teaching assistants, and school leadership to maintain a safe and productive learning environment
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and participation throughout the school day
- Supervise students during lessons, breaks, and lunchtime as required
- Administer and oversee tests or assessments, ensuring fair and consistent standards
- Collect and record completed work for the class teacherâ??s review
- Communicate effectively with staff and, where necessary, parents or carers regarding student progress or concerns
