We are currently seeking a
BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments within a mainstream school setting. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of BSL Level , with preference given to those holding BSL Level 2 or higher.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide 1:1 and small group support to hearing-impaired students across KS1 to KS4
- Facilitate communication using BSL in the classroom and during school activities
- Assist in the delivery of tailored learning programmes and interventions
- Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs, and external specialists
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- BSL Level 1 (essential); Level 3 (desirable)
- Experience supporting deaf or hearing-impaired children
- Understanding of the educational needs of students with sensory impairments
- A positive, patient, and flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
