Horizon Teachers are supporting a well-regarded school in Ealing, West London, in their search for a versatile Biology Teacher for a long-term, part-time role (3 days per week) starting ASAP until the end of the academic year.
This varied role includes 2 days teaching Biology in secondary and 1 day teaching in a primary setting, with occasional cover across other subjects where needed. It’s ideal for a flexible teacher seeking consistency and a strong work–life balance, paid on the M1–UPS3 scale (pro rata).
The role includes:
• Teaching engaging Biology lessons across KS3 & KS4 (KS5 optional)
• Delivering primary classroom teaching one day per week
• Providing cover across other subjects when required
• Planning effective lessons and adapting teaching for mixed abilities
• Maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement
• Working collaboratively within a supportive school team
The school is looking for:
• A qualified teacher with QTS/PGCE in Biology or Science
• Confidence teaching Biology to KS4 (KS5 desirable) and adaptability across age groups
• Strong classroom management and organisation
• A flexible, proactive approach to teaching
• Commitment to a long-term, part-time role
