Horizon Teachers are pleased to be supporting a well-regarded secondary school in Ealing, West London, in their search for a dedicated Biology Teacher to join their Science team on a part-time basis (three days per week).
This is a long-term opportunity, starting as soon as possible and expected to continue until the end of the academic year, making it ideal for teachers seeking consistency alongside a healthier work–life balance. The role is available on the main to upper pay scale (M1–UPS3), dependent on experience and pro rata.
The school is looking for a Biology specialist who can deliver engaging and well-planned lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with opportunities to contribute to KS5 where appropriate. You will be joining a supportive and collaborative Science Department known for strong leadership, shared resources, and a positive team culture.
The Role:- Teach Biology across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 teaching available if desired
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that promote curiosity, understanding, and practical skills
- Assess student progress effectively and adapt teaching to meet a range of learning needs
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, engagement, and achievement
- Contribute positively to the wider Science team and school community
The School Is Looking For:- A qualified teacher with QTS or a PGCE in Biology or Science
- Confident teaching Biology up to KS4 (KS5 experience is beneficial but not essential)
- Strong classroom management and an organised, reflective approach
- A genuine enthusiasm for Biology and supporting student progress
- Someone reliable and committed to a long-term, part-time position
