About you:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Experience teaching Art at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- A passion for creative education and supporting young people to reach their full potential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible, proactive, and confident in adapting to different classes and year groups.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging Art lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher, following the school’s curriculum and lesson plans.
- Maintain high standards of teaching, learning and classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Support students in developing their artistic skills, creativity and confidence.
- Adapt lessons where appropriate to meet the needs of different learners.
- Mark and provide feedback on students’ work where required.
- Step into different classes across the Art department as needed, ensuring continuity of learning and a positive classroom environment.
