About you:- Previous experience working with young people, ideally in a school or education setting.
- A background, qualification, or strong interest in Art and creative subjects.
- Confident in managing groups of students and promoting positive behaviour.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting the education and creative development of young people.
Key responsibilities:- Supervise students in the absence of the regular teacher, particularly within Art lessons, ensuring students remain engaged and follow the lesson plan provided.
- Support students with practical and creative tasks, offering guidance where needed while encouraging independent learning.
- Maintain order and discipline in the classroom, following the school’s behaviour policies.
- Prepare and oversee classroom activities, ensuring art materials and resources are used safely and effectively.
- Step into different classrooms and subjects as needed, while bringing particular support and enthusiasm to the Art department.
- Help foster a positive, creative learning environment that encourages student expression and achievement.
