A specialist SEN school in Bromley is looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team on a long-term, full-time basis.
 
The Role

• Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with pupils and helping them to engage with learning.
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, behaviour and social development.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team to provide consistent support.
• Helping to create a calm, safe and positive learning environment.
• Supporting pupils both academically and pastorally throughout the school day.

 
About you

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Experience working in a specialist, SEN or alternative provision setting would be beneficial.
• Patient, resilient and empathetic with a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable pupils.
• Confident managing challenging behaviour using positive and supportive strategies.
• Able to build strong relationships with pupils and maintain a calm approach.
• A team player who is committed to helping pupils reach their full potential.
