SENCO – Secondary Phase – Tower Hamlets All Through School

Horizon Teachers are currently working with a secondary school in Tower Hamlets, East London, who are looking to hire an experienced SENCO on a full-time basis with an ASAP start.

This SENCO job in Tower Hamlets, East London will be offering a competitive daily rate of approximately £200 – £330 per day, dependent on experience and qualifications.

The successful applicant will be an experienced SEND professional who is confident leading and developing high-quality SEND provision. You will have a strong understanding of statutory SEND requirements and be comfortable working collaboratively with senior leaders, teaching staff, external agencies and families to ensure pupils with additional needs receive the appropriate support.

The School is Looking For:

An experienced SENCO with a strong track record of leading and developing SEND provision
Those who hold QTS and the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCo), or an appropriate equivalent qualification
Someone with an excellent working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice, EHCPs and associated statutory processes
A confident SEND professional capable of managing a varied caseload and ensuring appropriate interventions and support are in place
Someone comfortable working closely with senior leadership, teaching and support staff, external agencies and families
An organised and proactive individual with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities
Someone available to interview immediately with a view to starting ASAP

From the start, Paul (Primary Team) and David (Secondary Team) have both been incredibly supportive, approachable, and professional, making the whole process smooth and reassuring. I’ve been working with both a primary and a secondary consultant, and the communication between them has been excellent. They’ve always been available to answer questions and provide guidance whenever needed. The support I received before starting my placement was especially helpful. My consultant gave me great insight into the school, which really helped me feel prepared and confident going in. I also completed their Teaching Assistant training, along with Safeguarding Level 1 and Level 2, which were both very informative and valuable. A special thanks to David for checking in with me when things were a bit challenging — it really made a difference and showed genuine care and support.
