We are working with a fantastic primary school in Camden that is looking for a dedicated and nurturing SEN Teacher to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious teacher who wants to make a genuine difference to the lives of children with additional needs, while working within a supportive and inclusive school community.
About the RoleAs an SEN Teacher, you will work closely with pupils who have a range of additional needs, adapting learning and creating an environment where every child feels valued, supported and able to succeed.
You will be responsible for:

Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Supporting pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs and social, emotional and behavioural needs
Creating a calm, inclusive and positive learning environment
Working closely with teaching assistants and other support staff
Monitoring pupil progress and adapting provision accordingly
Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, carers and colleagues
Contributing to EHCP targets and individual learning plans
Supporting pupils’ academic, social and emotional development

The school is looking for a teacher who is:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experienced working with children with SEN, ideally within a primary setting
Patient, nurturing and highly committed
Confident adapting the curriculum to meet individual needs
An excellent communicator and team player
Passionate about inclusive education
Able to build positive relationships with children and create a safe, engaging classroom environment

Early Career Teachers with relevant SEN experience are also encouraged to apply.

From the start, Paul (Primary Team) and David (Secondary Team) have both been incredibly supportive, approachable, and professional, making the whole process smooth and reassuring. I’ve been working with both a primary and a secondary consultant, and the communication between them has been excellent. They’ve always been available to answer questions and provide guidance whenever needed. The support I received before starting my placement was especially helpful. My consultant gave me great insight into the school, which really helped me feel prepared and confident going in. I also completed their Teaching Assistant training, along with Safeguarding Level 1 and Level 2, which were both very informative and valuable. A special thanks to David for checking in with me when things were a bit challenging — it really made a difference and showed genuine care and support. My agency contact, Alexa, has been great at providing information, fixing any miscommunications and has personally chased after my timesheet approvals. They didn't prep me anything about the school other than where it is, the age group and department that I'll be in but, I'm sure if I had asked for more details they would have provided them without issue.
