SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Daily Supply / Day-to-Day
Start Date: September 2026

We are looking for a caring, committed and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to work on a daily supply basis at welcoming primary schools across Hounslow.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and helping them reach their full potential.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to pupils with a range of special educational needs, helping them access learning and develop their confidence and independence.
Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with SEN
• Supporting children to access the primary curriculum
• Assisting with literacy, numeracy and classroom activities
• Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Helping pupils develop their communication and social skills
• Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs
• Promoting independence and confidence both inside and outside the classroom

We are looking for someone who is:

• Experienced working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary setting
• Patient, nurturing and approachable
• Confident supporting pupils with a range of additional needs
• Able to build positive relationships with children
• Reliable, flexible and adaptable
• A strong team player
• Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
