Premises Assistant

£80 - £100 per day
*Premises Assistant* *Lambeth based Primary School* *Full time post (Flexi hours) - Temporary trial period - possibility of becoming permanent* Horizon teachers are currently working with a Primary School based in Lambeth that are in need of a Premises Assistant to work alongside the onsite Premises Manager. This role is to begin ASAP however the school are happy for applicants to serve a notice period, the role is guaranteed to run until July 2020, and has a very strong possibility of becoming permanent. The duties of this role are: • Support the general upkeep, maintenance and operational status of the school, classrooms, offices etc.• Unlocking and Locking of the school • Call outs for any on site emergencies• Fire and Lockdown procedures• Health and Safety reports of the school • Ability to recommend improvements to the school • Landscaping • Parcel collection delivery Applicants ideally will have previous experience as a school site manager, assistant, caretaker etc. Other suitable experience in a site management/maintenance aspect, essentially applicants must be able to confidently complete each of the above points and will ideally have experience of completing health and safety reports in a school setting. The role is 35 hours per week on a flexi timetable, split shifts are a possibility in this role, but this can be decided once a suitable applicant is found.The successful candidate will need to hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service, once of these can be processed through Horizon Teachers.
