My name is Vicky and I work on the Vetting and Compliance Team at Horizon Teachers. My role is to ensure that candidates are thoroughly vetted and have undergone rigorous checks before they start working. I joined the company in 2023 following a 2-year role in compliance within Adult Education and government funding. 

When I interviewed for Horizon Teachers, I was immediately struck by the passionate and friendly feel of the office. It immediately told me that this was somewhere I could work and feel happy and comfortable, whilst also having an impact on the education of children similar ages to my siblings. 

I previously attended Swansea University where I earned a Bachelor of Medical Engineering before beginning an internship back home in London developing skills in HR and compliance. I now work alongside the SEND Team to help students who have similar difficulties to people in my own family.
