Humanities Department Assistant  September 2018 start Inner London Secondary School East London Part Time £78 - £88 per day Long term role (One Year) Ofsted Good Secondary School Horizon Teachers is working with a "good" Secondary school in Newham who is looking for an enthusiastic person to assist in the provision of high quality administrative services to the Access & Inclusion area within Humanities, especially student inclusion, as directed by the Head of Humanities and the SENCO. This is a part time term time only role. It is to work 27 hours a week spread over 4 days.    The school is an Ofsted Good School and has been recognised in the local area for the quality of support it offers all of its students. The inclusion department lead by the SENCO offers all students the support needed to enable them to excel in their Education and progress in every lesson.  Working within the inclusion department and also the Humanities department means that this role would be ideal for either a humanities graduate or someone with an SEN support background.    The successful candidate must have a flexible approach to work, excellent organisational skills, be able to work well in a busy atmosphere and be ICT literate. Experience of working in a school and using the SIMS system is an advantage but not essential as training will be provided.    You will be working specifically within the Humanities department and be responsible for the organisation of the department resources as well as being a key link for staff. You will support the whole Humanities department and work with History, Geography and RE teachers as directed.
