BSL Teaching Assistant

£80 - £95 per day
An East London Primary School are seeking a BSL Teaching Assistant for their Hearing Impaired Unit to start immediately. This role is full time and long term.The School are looking to appoint an experienced BSL Teaching Assistant with or working towards BSL (British Sign Language) level 3 and able to work primarily with students using BSL in order to access a Primary Curriculum.In order to be successful, you will need:• BSL Qualification Level 3 minimum• A minimum qualification of grade C in English and Maths at GCSE level• Previous experience of supporting pupils with Special Education NeedsIn return, you can expect:The Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team are expanding to meet the communication needs of deaf pupils not only in the borough, but in the Resource Provision at the school too. Located in Plumstead, this Secondary Schools HI Provision is committed to an inclusive approach to education based on individual needs and is an integral part of the social community. The staff are friendly and inclusive, the facilities are state of the art and provide excellent opportunities for children to learn and develop.
