Room Leader

£60 - £85 per day
Horizon Teachers are working with an Early Years Centre in North West London who are looking to employ a full time Room Leader on a long term basis.The Centre was rated Outstanding' in their most recent Ofsted inspection. The staff all work to ensure that the children are learning to the best of their ability, are receiving specialist support (where necessary) and are happy and kept safe at all times. The Centre has excellent transport links, and is a 10 minute walk from its closest London Underground station.The position will be to work as a Team Leader for the under 3s in the centre. The children's ages range from 18 months to 3 years in this room. As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for the management of the team in the centre under the direction of the Senior Management Team. This will include:• Leading the learning, planning and evaluation in this section of the centre• Attending meetings with the team, case conferences and therapists• Keeping records for each child's needs to assess their development and communicating this to other staff• Keeping an up to date knowledge of the centre's policies and procedures • Reading through observation files ensuring all children's progress is assessed• Managing the preparation and maintenance of a healthy, safe and stimulating work environmentThe centre are looking for the Team Leader to start at the end of February, working initially for 1 term and then continuing on an ongoing basis if successful. Nursery Nurse

£60 - £80 per day
A position has become available for a fully qualified Nursery Nurse to work in Nursery School and Children's Centre based in North London. The role is based in the Children's Centre with staff who is fully committed to the progression of the centre. You will be required to work with Children between the ages of 3-5 on a full time basis. Our ideal candidate will be a qualified Nursery Nurse and have the ability to conduct observations. Responsibilities will include personal care duties such as feeding and changing. The ideal applicant will have previous experience working with Early Years and have an up to date knowledge of the EYFS. You are required to have a qualification to work as a Nursery Nurse; such as a CACHE Level 3, NVQ Level 2 / NNEB, a degree in Early Childhood Studies, or an equivalent qualification. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must and you should be confident in your ability to support SEN children and children with English as an additional language (EAL).
