NQT SEN Teacher Jobs

As a newly qualified SEN teacher, you will be working with children and young people who need extra support or require additional help for their learning and development. Being placed within a school will help you utilise and grow your knowledge and skills obtained through your new qualification.

Along with teaching, an important part of this role is the ability to understand the particular need of the student. You will need to adapt conventional teaching methods to meet the needs of individual pupils, which might require using specialised equipment or facilities. Outside of the classroom, you might also be required to liaise with other professionals, such as social workers, speech therapists or physiotherapists to name a few. Overall the key aspect of working as a newly qualified SEN teacher is to create a learning environment that is safe, stimulating and supportive for individual needs.
