A part time maternity cover contract is available within the Early Years team at a GOOD Primary School in Brent. The school pay inner London pay rates, despite the outer London location! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a successful and inclusive Primary School located in the Willesden area of Brent. The position is available to start at the beginning of the summer term, in April 2019. If you are available and able to start sooner, the position could start in February or March, to enable a throughout handover with the Teacher before she departs on her maternity leave. ABOUT THE NURSERY CLASS: • Children aged between 3 and 5 years• Open plan classroom with a spacious outdoor area • A heavy focus on learning through play• 2 experienced Early Years practitioners supporting within the classroomABOUT THE SCHOOL:• Diverse intake, with a high proportion of students for whom English is an additional language• Ofsted graded the Early Years provision as GOOD • Close to transport links (London Overground or Jubilee line easily accessible from the school)• Car park available on site • Well behaved children, with a good behaviour management policy in place In order to be successful for this position, you will need to be:• A qualified Primary Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent overseas qualification• A passionate Early Years Teacher with an excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and phonics • Available to commit to working Monday to Wednesday for a minimum of 2 terms, starting in April 2019 • A team player and have a good sense of humour! This position will involve working Monday to Wednesday. Pay will be between £140 and £227 per day, in line with your position on the Teacher pay scale.
