SEND Teaching Assistant

£16,000 - £19,000 per annum
A school in Surrey are currently looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2019, this will be full time and on a permanent basis. There are two sites, between them they provide education from Key Stage 2 to Post 16 with adapted curriculums and corresponding exams. The school has modern and highly functioning facilities, with several sensory and therapy rooms that provide a comfortable environment for all students.The role!As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting the progress of all students, across different ages and abilities. The school are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and confident Teaching Assistant who can bring these characteristics to the classroom. They are also looking for someone who is able to adjust, responding to the needs of the pupils, a TA who enjoys the challenge of working within an SEN setting.The key responsibilities of this role include working effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team, with qualified Teachers, Therapists and other Support Staff. Although working under the direct instruction of Teachers in the classroom it is important that you are confident to lead activities and are familiar with strategies set out in students EHCP and EP reports.
