Horizon teachers is working with an outstanding school in Newham, East London who are looking to employ an experienced Teaching Assistant to work within their support department. The role will be to support students with SEN, the students' needs range from mild learning needs to physical needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting and progressing students of all abilities across the school. As directed by the SENCO the ideal individual for this role will be able to adapt and support in every subject area. A background in support is essential, if as well you have the ability to support in English, Maths, Science or humanities this would be looked upon favourably but not essential. You will work alongside experienced teachers and other Teaching Assistants to provide in class support as well as working with students in small groups and on a one to one basis. You will gain a valuable insight into the role of a teacher, prior experience within SEN support would be an advantage and will be looked upon favourably by the school.

The schools provides all Teaching Assistants with excellent training. You will be introduced to the latest teaching innovations as well as being fully trained on working with SEN students. As a Teaching Assistant you will be a vital link between teachers and students and in past years teaching assistants have been seen to improve grades as well as develop students' behaviour.
