This Ofsted Outstanding exceptional Secondary school is looking to recruit a Teaching Assistant to join their team of support staff. This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of North London's top performing non academies and thrive whilst supporting students learn and progress in all areas. This is a full time role and for the right member of staff could turn permanent, potential future teachers are encouraged to apply and learn from some of London's best teachers.
As a Teaching Assistant you will be supporting students of all abilities from year 7 to 11. The role will involve working alongside students in class as directed by the class teacher ensuring that work is understood and completed to a high level. There will also be an element individual support as directed by the SENCO (Special needs coordinator), this will as an intervention for students who my need extra support out of the classroom. As this is a support role assisting students with either learning or behavioural needs will be expected. The school do not require any prior experience of this as training will be offered.
The school is located in North London with excellent transport links that allow easy access wherever you are in London, with mainline trains as well as access to the underground network. They have been graded as "Outstanding" by Ofsted in their last three inspections, staff are friendly and dedicated to helping every student improve to reach their full potential. The Learning support team work closely together and take pride in the fact that every student is offered comprehensive support throughout their schooling.
The ideal applicant for this Teaching Assistant position will be motivated and able to clearly communicate with students of all ages and backgrounds. Recent graduates or experienced support staff are encouraged to apply as the school have two positions. Having previous school experience is not essential, a can do attitude and strong work ethic is essential as the school look for individuals who can immerse themselves in school life from day one. A degree in English, Maths, Science or Humanities would be looked upon favourably but not essential.
