A large mixed academy in Bexley is looking for a Geography Teacher to join a supportive and flourishing Geography department. This is a permanent, full time role starting from January 2019, although the role could start sooner for the right person. The school is willing to support a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT) through the schools extensive induction program which is delivered over the school year. A mentoring scheme is provided along with regular CPD in order to allow teachers to build confidence and gain experience in all aspects of teaching.

The Geography curriculum takes an enquiry based approach and enables students to develop their geographical skills, knowledge and understanding. It focuses on real people, places and current issues for inspiration will encourage students to take an active approach in learning about the world around them, helping them to understand the relevance of Geography in their lives.

- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or overseas trained.
- PGCE in Geography or degree level equivalent
- Experience teaching Geography
- Experience in a secondary school within the last two years
- Excellent subject knowledge and passion for Geography
