Are you an experienced and passionate MFL teacher with experience of teaching engaging French/ Spanish lessons to the highest standard?

Horizon Teachers is currently working with a Good secondary school based in Islington who is looking to appoint a French/ Spanish teacher to join their warm and welcoming staffing team.

Noted in their latest Ofsted report Pupils make good progress from years 7 to 11 particularly in mathematics, creative arts, P.E and humanities, In subjects where progress dipped last year including science and English new staff and effective middle learners are quickly improving outcomes, Staff know their pupils well pupils needs are considered carefully in teachers planning particularly those who have education, health and care plans, Pupils usually receive useful feedback on their work, sometimes feedback lacks the clarity needed to guide pupils' learning and support the development of their literacy skills.

To be considered for this role you must have the following

  • Evidence of teaching French and Spanish lesson from KS3 to KS4 Standards
  • Hold a valid QTS or be overseas trained
  • Strong passion for modern foreign languages
  • A proven record of classroom progression
  • Experience of teaching engaging lessons on a daily basis

Your daily duties will consist of the following;
  • Planning and delivering MFL lessons to the highest standard
  • Establishing and maintaining discipline in class
  • Being a positive role model for students at all times
  • Monitoring student progression on a daily basis
  • Provide a positive environment in which students can learn
  • Liaising with heads of department when required
  • Attending school assemblies and parents day

The salary for this fantastic opportunity is £26,662 - £37,645 dependant on experience.
