A mainstream secondary school in Redbridge are seeking to appoint a SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from January 2020. The SEND provision accommodates for students with Autism and ADHD.

Location - Redbridge
Contract - Long Term (Possibility of Permanent Employment)
Salary - £70-£92 per day
Start Date - January 2020

The school have a very successful provision for secondary aged students on the Autistic Spectrum, The students work within the purpose-built provision on the main school site and where appropriate in the mainstream school. Students are also involved in a range of social and extra-curricular activities with their mainstream peers.

Classes are small and usually have between 6-8 students The class does most of their learning in their class base with their teacher. At Key Stage 3 and 4, the curriculum consists of: English, Maths, Science, ICT, History, Geography and RE, Music, Art and Drama, MLF, Social Skills, PSHE and PE. All students are linked to a mainstream tutor group and will be timetabled to access some appropriate subjects in mainstream.
