A secondary mainstream school in Greenwich are seeking to appoint a SEND Teacher to work in the schools ASD designated special provision. This is a full time permanent role from September 2019.
A rare opportunity to appoint a Teacher of SEND who has current experience of working with students with ASD. Despite the school being a mainstream secondary academy, inclusion lies at the very heart of what they do, and their successful candidate will play a significant role in their Designated Special Provision (DSP). You much have a truly positive approach to inclusion and have a clare understanding of the strategies used to develop inclusive practice in school and settings for students with ASD.

You will have the ample opportunity to collaborate with your peers both within the academy and across the whole trust.

• Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
• Right to work in the UK
• A minimum of two successful years teaching (preferably with children who have identified special educational needs)
• Experience teaching/supporting children with autism
• Experience using Makaton and/or PECS
