Graduate Teaching Assistant – Science Graduate
£60-80 per day

Horizon Teachers are seeking an ambitious, enthusiastic and passionate Science Graduate to join a Secondary School in September 2019 as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. The role is to work in the Science Department supporting students in Years 7-11 with SEN on a 1-2-1 basis and in small groups. A passion for Science and working with young people is essential, and the school would ideally be looking for a Science Graduate that aspires to teach in the future. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring Science Teacher that is looking to gain or expand on their classroom experience in a forward-thinking modern school. Staff in the school are friendly, supportive and welcoming. Training will be given on the job and the school will offer schools direct teacher training to the right individual.
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant you will:
Have a Science degree (minimum 2:2)
Have a proactive and positive ‘can do’ attitude
Have excellent communication skills
Have experience of working with young people
Support students 1-2-1 with tasks set by teaching staff
Supervise group activities
Liaise with teaching staff
Be offered training and support
