Horizon Teachers is currently working with a large Mixed Academy in Newham that is looking for a Science Technician to work in and support their large Science Department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a great Secondary School and work as a Technician. You will work within their Science department and support students throughout the science curriculum.

The role is a full time permanent role and will consist of various roles within the Science department. There will be elements of technician work where you will prepare resources and equipment as well as in class support for experiments as directed by the teachers. A specialism in Physics would be desirable however the school would like to receive applications from experienced technicians.

You will be working with the senior Science Technician as well as the team of support staff to ensure that standards are kept high and pupils are supported at all times. An up to date knowledge of Lab workings is essential for this position.

The school is rated as Good' by Ofsted and was noted for its exceptional students and the progress that was being made in lessons. Staff at the school are friendly and departments work well together to provide students with an excellent level of education. Staff training is also excellent with a programme of CPD on offer and also opportunities for staff to progress and be promoted.
