Horizon Teachers are currently working with one on central London's top schools assisting them to recruit a teacher of Science. The school wishes to appoint a Science teacher who is starting out in their teaching career and is looking to take on a position of responsibility in the future.

The School located in central London is a truly outstanding environment to work in. Results at the school are among the highest in the borough and in 2015 90% of students achieved 5 A* - C grades including English and Maths. At A Level the results are also high with 71% of students leaving with 3 A Levels. Teachers at the school support students and a positive environment is created with the help of a strong well established senior leadership team.

The Science department at the Academy has teachers with a wealth of teaching experience. Lessons are taught in labs that have been designed specifically and these modern rooms contain the latest equipment allowing teachers to deliver engaging and dynamic lessons. The department with to appoint a recently qualified Science teacher who is able to progress within a role and look to take on responsibility in the future. This role would suit either a newly qualified teacher or a teacher within the first few years of their career.

The successful applicant will be able to teach Science across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5 to students of all abilities as well as demonstrate a proven track record of securing outstanding student outcomes. The ability to offer a specialism in either Biology, Chemistry or Physics at KS5 would be desirable but is not essential. The School targets are ambitious, but for the right person, this is a rare opportunity to both make a difference and lead the Academy to the next level.
