An exciting opportunity has opened for a teacher of RE to join this friendly community based school located near Romford. The school wish to appoint a dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic RE Teacher to join their staff and work in their great RE department.
The Head teacher and Head of department would like to employ a dedicated RE Teacher who is able to enthuse, motivate and progress students of all ability. Within RE students achieve well and results at GCSE have improved in recent years. The department work as a strong but small team and due to absence there is now the need for an additional teacher. As part of the timetable the successful RE Teacher will be teaching students at KS3 and also GCSE.
RE has a good status at the school, the department work collaboratively and the teachers share best practice and in recent years this has delivered the departments highest results. Students and teachers work in a calm and engaging environment. The modern classrooms are furnished to a high standard with the latest equipment and resources available in every lesson. Schemes of work have been adapted and the current department have done extensive planning to ensure all lessons are differentiated and pupils of all abilities progress in lessons.
The School itself is a mid-sized mixed school where pupils are valued and staff work well together. The school in recent years has had a transformation and the successful teaching assistance will be joining the school at an exciting time. The transformation is due to the new Head Teacher who has worked tirelessly to transform all areas of the school. A real sense of purpose is in place at the school and all staff and students work together. The progress of students at the school is good. Facilities are outstanding and each department is located in purpose built classrooms, staff also have access to a large communal areas for planning and communing where a calming and inviting atmosphere has been created.
