The school is part of an Academy and they received a rating of "Outstanding" in their previous OFSTED inspection. The inspectors found that "The Executive Principal and Principal, supported by a dedicated team of senior leaders, engender a strong team spirit within the academy" so applicants can expect a tight-knit and supportive environment in which to work. They have a specialist Deaf Support Base which provides places for children from Year 1 to 6 who are Deaf or Hearing Impaired. The base has designated classrooms with resources to allow children with such needs to access an adapted Primary curriculum and equip them with the skills to learn. The Position

Some pupils will have a mixed timetable where they spend part of their time in the mainstream classes and part of their time in the base, whereas those with more severe needs will spend all their time in the base. The Primary Teacher will be supported with the planning of lessons by the Head of the provision (who is also a qualified and highly experienced Teacher of the Deaf). Essential skills and experience

- Minimum 1 year teaching experience
- Experience teaching children with SEND in mainstream or SEN schools
- Ideally some experience supporting children who are Hearing Impaired or Deaf
