*Premises Officer*
*Lambeth based Primary School*
*Full time post - Temporary trial period with the intention of becoming permanent*

Horizon teachers are currently working with a Primary School based in Lambeth that are in need of a Premises Officer to sustain the day to day running of the school.

This role is to begin after the february half term however the school are happy for applicants to serve a notice period, the role is guaranteed to run until July 2020, and has a very strong possibility of becoming permanent if the trial period is completed successfully,

As this is a one form entry school, the successful applicants will be the only premises officer on site, as a result applicants MUST have experience of being a School Caretaker/Premises Staff, either as a manager or assistant. This also must be evidenced in previous employment and references must be provided.

The duties of this role are:
• Support the general upkeep, maintenance and operational status of the school, classrooms, offices etc.
• Unlocking and Locking of the school
• Call outs for any on site emergencies
• Fire and Lockdown procedures
• Health and Safety reports of the school
• Ability to recommend improvements to the school
• Landscaping
• Parcel collection delivery

Applicants must have previous experience as a school site manager, assistant, caretaker etc. Essentially applicants must be able to confidently complete each of the above points and will ideally have experience of completing health and safety reports in a school setting.


The successful candidate will need to hold an enhanced DBS that is on the update service, one of these can be processed through Horizon Teachers, Specific details for this role can be discussed over the phone.
