Horizon Teachers is currently working with a Good Secondary school in West London who require a Senior IT Technician. This role is a Temporary position and will be to work with the school initially for a whole term with the possibility of a longer term role.

This role is to start ASAP, Horizon Teachers will organise video interviews with you and the school. Horizon Teachers will also be able to prepare you for interviews with the school done over video or in person.

As a senior IT technician you will be working with the network manager at the school and have a key role to play in the behind the scenes running of the schools systems. The school are looking for an individual with extensive IT skills, someone who is self motivated and an individual who is able to work on a task to its completion.

The school are looking for an individual who has experience with and who can work with;
• VMware ESXi/vCenter - The school are looking for someone to assist in managing their virtualized server environment. Monitoring vCenter and Upgrading server VMs (migration to Server 2019). VMware Certified Professional ideally.
• Web development - To assist in the development of a custom job request system, experience of Visual Studio and SQL.
• Microsoft SharePoint within Office 365 - The school are looking to utilize SharePoint within the school and they need someone with experience to plan and create an environment that would be useful to the school.
• Good SQL skills with experience of database design, trigger scripts and database migration.
• CCTV maintenance and supporting colleagues in viewing required events - Maintain CCTV server systems, CCTV network and cameras.
• User account maintenance - Create accounts for new users and deal with user account issues.
• Client software - End User Applications
• Maintain end user software and create end user deployment packages to be used by the ICT Technician.
• Experience with OS and software deployment, planning and implementation.
• Advanced scripting using PowerShell.

In this exciting role you will be working in a team of technicians, you will be supported by Horizon Teachers and the school. You must have a DBS certificate or be willing to have Horizon Teachers process one for you.
