Horizon Teachers is currently working with a Good School in Hayes that are looking for a personable and reliable Receptionist with previous school receptionist experience.

Job Description

  • Dealing with meeting and greeting parents, visitors and students
  • Using SIMS or a similar integrated database
  • Answering and transferring calls and taking messages effectively
  • Undergoing general office talks such as filing, typing and photocopying
  • Advising teaching staff on technical processes
  • Mentoring targeted students in art and working with small groups
  • Ensuring all lab equipment is useable and practical lessons are prepared before class
  • The role would suit a someone who is reliable and personable, with excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner
  • The role would suit a recent Graduate seeking experience within a school

School Receptionist- Part Time

£9 - £12 per hour
We are looking to appoint an interim  Receptionist to join a busy Primary school office in Victoria You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks in the school office but mainly front of house duties such as: Welcoming/signing in visitiors Answering phones and managing the swithboard Tracking student attendance Maintain and update the school's management information system (SIMS.net) And other related tasks - This is an interim role to start ASAP until the end of term (July) with a prospect of becoming permanent - Monday to Friday- 10am to 2pm (May increase) - Central London location To be considered you should ideally be able to demonstrate: Excellent literacy and numeracy skills IT skills.  Knowledge of SIMs is not essential but would be an advantage Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Exceptional organisational and time management skills Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Experience of administrative work in a busy office, ideally in a school/educational environment, would benefit.
