Horizon Teachers is working with a large oversubscribed mixed secondary school in West London that are looking to appoint a Chemistry Teacher. This is a Temporary role starting in January 2021, the role is a long-term position and would be for the remainder of the academic year.

The successful Chemistry Teacher will be joining seven full time teachers in the department as well as a lead practitioner and coordinators for each key stage. The team members are all able teachers with a wide range of experience. The department is a close knit, mutually supportive team, who utilise a variety of teaching styles to enhance the pupils' learning experience. Within Science all specialisms are taught separately so someone with a skill set across Chemistry is essential.

The school is a large school in the southernmost part of the London Borough of Hillingdon. The school has gone through a period of transition and is now successful and oversubscribed, the number of students currently on roll exceeds the net capacity of the school. This oversubscribing has led to the need for additional staff and in particular the Science department.

If interested in this role you must have the following:
- Qualified teacher status (QTS) or overseas trained.
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure or Overseas Police Clearances
- PGCE in Science or degree level equivalent
- Experience teaching KS3-KS5 Science
- Experience in a secondary school within the last two years
- A willingness to play a full part in the life of the school.
