Maths Teacher

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join this independent school, located in West Ealing. The school has excellent transport links, and facilities located on two sites within a short walking distance of each other.

The school has expanded in recent years, due to high demand for its services, and now caters for up to 60 pupils, aged 5-21 years, who have a range of learning difficulties, including: Autism, Social, Emotional and Mental Health Difficulties, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Specific Learning Difficulties.

Although pupils in the school can display challenging behaviours, the school ethos actively promotes values of acceptance, tolerance and mutual respect.

• Sensitive to pupils needs

• Ability to design engaging and effective learning activities
• Belief in the potential of every pupil regardless of the challenges they face
• Experience of working with pupils with SEN is desirable, but not essential

Please apply now!A nurturing Key Stage 4 Pupil Referral Unit in Newham are seeking an experienced, resilient and dedicated Maths Teacher to join the team from September 2018. This is a Full Time position to work between the hours of 8.30am and 4pm Monday to Friday term time only. The position will initially be until Christmas but, for the right person, this is likely to continue until the end of the academic year.The school provides places for up to 60 students between the ages of 14 and 16 who are at risk of permanent exclusion or have already been permanently excluded from mainstream education. The majority of students will remain until they complete Key Stage 4 after which the school support students to transition into Further Education. Aside from Social, Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEBD) students have a range of associated Special Educational Needs (SEN) including ADHD and OCD. Teachers are therefore required to differentiate their lesson plans to students with a variety of needs. Applicants can expect a very warm, welcoming and supportive SLT as well as other Teaching and Support Staff in the school who work closely together to ensure students achieve success. Each member of staff is very positive, friendly and light-hearted greeting students with a warm welcome and establishing strong relationships with all students.
